Apologies if posted before, but here's the 1982 exterior and interior brochure. It lists all the codes for colors and fabric options at the back.

Cheers
David

Thought I would post again my interior 'MB' marbleized full grey leather after I took some better photos... such a difficult interior to capture correctly.

HEllo, I have an 89 with a sun beaten interior which I believe to be magenta. Could you confirm code from label under hatch carpet. I have L700 paint and LN interior.

Totally random bits of trivia- I have been playing with the interior code data for all the 1980 US market cars, the breakdown is interesting - Per the 1980 Colours and Interiors booklet, there were 65 possible interior codes, permutations of vinyl/partial leather/full leather interior panels (black, dark blue, brown, or beige), vinyl or leather seatbacks, leather/cloth/Pascha, or Tartan seat cushions, and carpet (black/dark blue/beige/brown). In the US market, only 34 of the combinations were actually used. (though there are 3 cars with codes not in the booklet, dunno what they consist of.)

What stands out is how relatively few codes accounted for almost all US market cars- total production was 1639 cars. 1487 were partial leather interiors with solid leather seats in the four available colors. An additional 25 were full leather with solid leather seats. There were 65 Pascha cars- 27 beige/brown, 20 blue/black, 11 brown/black, and 7 white/black. 45 solid cloth cars. And there were only 6 Tartan cars, 4 in red/blue, and 2 in green/blue.

So- 92% leather, 4% Pascha, 2.5% cloth, and 0.3% Tartan. Will try to do the same analysis on '80 ROW just for shigs. .

The data for the 1454 ROW '80 S's is a little more interesting- 42 different codes used. It appears that none of the S's used the vinyl interior, all of them were at least partial leather. There were 36 with custom (code 99) interiors. Among the rest, 673 leather, 522 Pascha, 127 cloth, and 56 tartan . So 46% leather, 36% Pasha, 9% cloth, and 4% Tartan.

Which proves my theory that ROW cars are, as usual, more interesting.

Is it not the result of the fact that most US 928s were configurated by dealers, to be sold once in the USA?
In Europe, most cars were configurated by the real customer.

I actually contacted Porsche Germany asking for potential build numbers for MY'93 928GTS 'Marbleized' interior build code 'MB'. They responded saying those records were not kept, and even if they knew, current GDPR act would prevent them from sharing. Personally I can't understand either answer. 🤔
