Still trying to get cold air in my 87S4. I have a clogged high pressure side. I've been trying to feed weed wacker line through but when it hits the clog, it can't clear it. Is there anything else I can feed through that may be a little stiffer but flexible enough to turn with the bends? Compressed air not strong enough.
I'm trying that. It should be a straight through line, but when I blow air at the drier, it doesn't come out at the EV. Bad clog! I'm getting the remnants from the old drier.

Go grab a dozen cans of quality brake cleaner and hose it in there too.
Keep at it, it took me about 5 hours to get all of this out of a GTS last year.
Thanks Sean. That's exactly what I'm getting out. Brake bleaker won't harm the system?
No, I think it's a better solution than the citrus cleaners that you get at autozone. Leaves no residue and evaporates quickly. Just isn't as environmentally friendly but less messy.
I've used both and stick with the brake cleaner now.

Sean,
What causes this to happen- is it some kind of mesh on the drier that tears and allows the pellets to travel through the system?
I've not cut one open but I'm guessing you are correct. People using cheap Autozone parts as opposed to spending $10.00 more would be my 2nd guess.
Sounds reasonable- what happens if that stuff hits the comrpessor? Does it act like a food blender and mince the pellets or does it trash the innerds as well?

It shouldn't get to the compressor. The expansion valve should catch all of it. Cars with rear A/C have a Y at the firewall that feeds the rear expansion valve and the valve under the seat will catch the desiccant as the front expansion valve catches it there, preventing it from going any further.
Now having said that, I replaced the compressor on the GTS I did as the higher pressures destroyed the clutch and I flushed the entire system. I found no trace of anything bad in any of the other lines.
