Default 996 carrera 4s wheels on a 928

I damaged one of my 17" Itali turbo twists on my 84. I found another but am wondering about updating wheels. Will a set of 996 carrera 4s 18" wheels fit? The offset in my wheels is 47. The rears in the 18" are 60. Will these fit? Do I have to put back on the rear stock spacers from my wheels? Looking for anyone that's done this.

You will want fronts with a min ET of 55. Anything lower will affect handling and cause tram lining.

True Carrera IV fronts ( 997.362.156.04 ) have an offset of 57, which is fine. I run them on mine with 225's.

So the rears I'm looking at are et65 as apprised to my current et47. That's a difference of .71 but the wheel is .5" wider each way. Should work. Fronts I'm looking at et50 vs et55

I took the plunge. The seller even agreed to let me try them on my car and return them if they didn't fit. No worries so far. Fronts sit almost exactly where the 17" ones did. The rears
Totally fill the wheel well. And they too will be perfect once I put the factory spacer back on

I think the 18" aftermarket wheels I had previously were 47 in the back, 10" wide. No problem, I even slid an 8mm spacer in there to get to sheet-of-paper clearance at the fender. But they weren't needed for a decent fit. That was with 275 tires. You should be good in back. The fronts will be close in terms of aligning with the edge of the fender. You may feel some steering impacts as mentioned earlier- when going over road imperfections/ braking etc. Especially as the tires wear.

I'm used to tram lining as I've been driving staggered cars for a while. I found the wheel bearing play had a lot to do with it

They fit perfectly and no tram lining. Only thing I notice is more road feedback
