Had some success today. Got my distributor reassembled with the new to me vacuum advance. Finally figured out the vacuum routing, reinstalled the distributor, cranked her up, and she fired right up....ran ok, but real high RPM, and missing badly. Got a little better when she warmed up. Decided to re-time her, and replace the spark plugs. Once I get the plugs changed, I'll try to fire her up again and see what I get!

Also working on regluing the carpet and vinyl back onto the passenger door panel, replacing the speaker, Then onto the drivers side....

Well, summer is over, and I am back to about 60 hrs a week, so starting to squeeze in a little shop time...still runs like crap with vacuum advance connected and under load, so I went ahead and bought the flywheel lock tool, and will be doing the timing belt and water pump this winter. Removed the drivers side upper timing cover, then my OCD kicked in and I drifted to something else....

Also....been finally working on my double din kit from BigAl...

It was kinda shiny steel, so I cleaned it and painted it with a few light coats of chrome-black, then a few coats of clear. looks great in the right light

Cut up console...made a couple of boo boos with the dremel, but some JB weld fixed the big problems, and I will use some black caulk for the finish, which will look great.

More parts mounted....and fit like a glove, but the clock was a different story..JB welded 2 nuts on the back, since it inserts from the back, but the warning strip is interfering with a nice flush fit. Had to dremel the heck out of the clocks ears to get the screws to catch in the nuts, with the end result being the clock is at a slight angle, but I actually like it...just did not want to get rid of the clock, wouldn't seem right to me to delete it.
