One possible '93-95 MY violet is 39D Amarant violett. Any violet is far from 38A Amethyst which was available already some years before that.

That is same 1990-93 37E veilchen blau metallic as in several other pictures in this thread and 968 in eBay. As name says it's blue by factorys definition.
