Default Could this hideous color actually be from the factory?

I think I just threw up in my mouth....could this be an original color?

Well, yes. I had a good friend with a 911 this color. Unsurprisingly, we called it the "Purple Car".

I'm not sure I'd call it hideous. It wouldn't be my first choice, but I've seen worse.

You can see the a pillar in one shot. Either original or a complete re-paint.

Looks like many sharks for sale now in the GTA.

I like the color. I would love to have a 1986.5 in that color.

So to hopefully answer the OP title question as to whether this is a factory color, I believe the answer is yes.

Reflector? Or 3rd brake light? Regardless - poor placement.

Maybe the whole interior (would need to see it), but doesn't really fit as an accent color.

Was my first reaction a few years back, only to find a local owner had one that colour. Dooooooh.

Btw, my S4 is also Diamond Blue Metallic w/- black interior.
