It's extremely rare but it's use is extremely limited also. So many 84's had the different pistons and lower compression. There were I think 285 1985S2's imported and about 45 1986S2's. So 330 total of which maybe 150 still exist. I have 2 of those 150 engines. .............. But who has a need for 1 except another S2 owner?
I know that there were 500 5-speeds made in 85 in the "S2" configuration (only officially called the S2 in Great Britain).
I have an 85 5-speed originally sold in Germany and grey marketed into New Jersey in 89, according to the stickers.
