When you say 'track car', does it come with an annual inspection from the SCCA or NASA?

It's like buying a plane, does it have a current annual? That means a lot when you say "track car" or "airplane".

I like that you have a right side net, however.

Good point. Yes, it does have a log book from NASA. The annual inspections have not been done, since the book was issued however.

I've resolved all issues listed on the 2nd page, except for a rear tow hook, numbers and decals.

That's the $5k insurance policy right there.

It's a -real- track car, with a prep pedigree to actually race.

Sounds like a _great_ deal.

You cannot build this car for that money. Sounds like a great way for someone to get into a car they can thrash about.

You can't do that, for 3x that money.

actually, its 2x the money for a race car build. 8k to make any car in to a decent race car. wheels, tires, suspension, headers, exhaust and safety stuff.

you will need another door bar for the SCCA log book. (need two door side bars)

looks like a good deal for someone!!

Good catch.

That may have been updated since...what..2006? That last entry in the logbook.

No big deal to get that door bar updated.

the roll bar conversions are always a challenge. but yes, a lower door bar will satisfy that. If the kill switch kills the engine, and the belts are current and are 6 point, you might be able to race that in SCCA .. Love to see it out there for sure!!

toe hooks front and rear?

...it's worth noting that a CURRENT annual, would support the asking price a lot more, and not leave the new owner with unknown costs.

..just like planes.

Yep.... and that seat back brace wouldnt fly either. its too high, at an angle and connected to a part of the seat not designed for a seat back brace.

Maybe, it's up to the manufacturers specifications, not purely visible inspection.

There's a lot of room between meeting the requirement, and being good & safe.

its actually clear that the brace has to have a plate that spreads the load at the connection point. I forgot the value, but up around the belt openings wont work.
and if the seat is on a slider, it has to be made by the manufacturer of the seat. (e.g. sparco seat, sparco slider)
