I think it depends on the event. At this event, they don't release the scoring sheets to the participants. Adam mentioned this in the other thread. The Concours on the Avenue organizers want to keep it fun and although it's a competition, they don't want people to get all uptight about it.

Adam did say that he was going to contact each owner and give them the rundown, and one of the other judges said they they could also contact the lead guy (I think Dave is his name) and he will go over the scoring sheet with them.

I'm not a concours guy and I was amazed at the detail they look/score on. Lots of things to think about including originality, cleanliness, correctness, and the one that I always forget "provenance". Sometimes a car with a great story/history will get extra recognition... pretty wild overall...

I would have taken a very different approach to Mark's car had I ever thought in a million years it would end up in this concours, would have stripped the whole drivetrain and done a lot more detailing underhood and underneath, but I guess the judges didn't chase it completely off the street, so it's all good.

Thanks Tom. I saw Adam's post on the other thread after I had already posted here.
I can understand not wanting folks to get uptight about the scoring, since with some cars, you could be talking about several thousand dollars swing in sales price. People can get really weird when lots of money is involved.
I think that it's great that Adam and "Dave" are willing to give the owners a look at the scoring sheet so that "flaws" or maybe even the way that something is done can be changed or corrected for next time.

Again, congratulations to all who entered. Great showing by all.

Congratulations to all involved in this event. A very, very fine showing by all. Best of the best, for sure. You folks did the 928 world justice and represented each example nicely.

My eyes keep running over each photo provided and they make me want to drag the parts car out of the garage and get old red in there...so I can start going through her. Truly motivational. Hopefully, someday...old red will be worthy of such an event.

I can attest to Robs skills after nearly 1000 miles of trouble free driving this weekend. I did think I might need the assistance money to get out of jail today. I had quite the drive over 198. The 928 was completely in its environment

That cobalt blue car looks spectacular! Are there any pictures of its interior?

Why were the GTS mirrors removed - just for the concours?

GTS mirrors (and a painted GTS wing) aren't correct for a '91 GT, and Anderson is a stickler for correct.

I'm sure rob can post many pictures but I can tell you that lots of parts were removed to put it back to stock and the gts mirrors were just one of those.
