I've had 3 Fieros. If you've never driven one they are very quick off the line. However, I don't recommend them at high speeds. Its kind of like a go cart with a v6, very fun to drive and inexpensive to own!

I've also owned 3 Fieros! The V6 variety were pretty quick and handled well. I routinely used to beat a buddy of mine on the auto-X courses who had a 944S
Purely from my car show/cruise experiences, I find that people tend to have similar personalities as their cars. Similar to a dog and owner.
In that line of thinking, I have deduced that Cadillac owners tend to be some of the quirkiest owners at these events. Nothing against the cars or owners.
I'm not completely sure what a 928 owner would therefore be judged as, but I'm happy to be a representative.
I have found myself leaning towards picking up a cheap Alfa, mostly cause of that crazy Italian shift gate up on the console.
Really soft market for the spiders. Iconic car, but I don't know anything about them.
Undoubtedly people drawn to quirky cars are often drawn to 928s. I've been surprised several times when another 928 owner has chimed in that they owned this or that oddball- Alfa 164L for example, or 3000GT VR4, or 2nd gen GTO, A6 4.2L...well that last isn't too odd, but took some concerted effort to find a good used one. THere are several 'odd' ones that I'm glad, in retrospect, that I didn't succeed in buying (Maserati biturbo comes to mind...and LaForza.....)
Talk about off-beat car guys, my first car was a trashed Ford Edsel that I was stupid enough to believe was a cool ride. I got it running, drove it to high school and was promptly laughed off campus. What the hell was I thinking?

Interesting tidbit on the Cossie: look at the head on one and then look an old DFV. Yep, much of the same architecture. Earliest use of electronic fuel injection in an American car, too. 1975. The ECU is the size of a small briefcase, and in a day an age where build quality was a passing thought, someone would take a saw to the top of the glovebox to chop it off to give clearance for the ECU. They don't build them like they used to!
