Kent,

I'll get you a 90 degree shot. If I were in London Ont, I wouldn't have gone as dark. You might want to check your provinical laws. You may not be able to anyway.

I have "Limo" on the hatch and quarters...with NV legal on the pax and driver side windows.

cant see squat out the back at night..just headlights. you get used to it. During the day, you can still see, but its pretty damn dark....then again, its pretty damn bright out here as well! Its cooler and i like that you can not see inside the rear of the car.

I used a ceramic tint on my Blue 85. 35% front, 20% rear and back windows.

I have one pic in direct sunlight from the side, and a couple of what the tint looks like at night.

Thanks Cameron that would be great, yes Ontario has limits for front door windows. I not sure if I want to go that dark. Then the rear can be anything.

Killav, thanks for sharing the Pic!

Marc (Slantnose),
What is your rear ride height set?? It seems very low to me. Just curious.

I've got Eibachs on my GTS and it doesn't look that low.

Goodmorning.
I can't remember off-hand the measurement, maybe 23.x" from ground to fender but's on coilovers...also, running a slightly taller rear tire (275) so have rear tucked-in more to level it out.

My 85 had 35 front and 20 rear. Backing up at night was hard, couldn't see jack shlit.

But I would not do the rear window anything but 20 or lower. That back window is like green house.

I also use a windshield shade when parked, that helps a great deal.

I'm getting the 87 done soon. 20 all around.

Technically there is not a limit in Ontario. The HWTA states that it's basically up to officer discretion. As long as they can see you they won't bother you at all.

I'm no fan of window tint; however, I do like the lighter tint the original owner had done on my car.
Same shade all around, no issues at night and looks great with the tan interior. Reminds me of what a high end car would come with from the factory.
Here in Indiana, the rear windows must also comply with the 30% rule in cars. For some reason the rears in SUVs are exempt and can be as dark as you want.

5% all the way around. Not exactly legal and hard to see out of at night. I'd do 20% on doors and 5% rears if I were to do it again.

There are quite some varieties of film these days- I use a ceramic film with lighter windscreen tint and legally compliant over the rest of the car.

The film helps the car cool down quicker after it is heat soaked but it does not stop heat soak from occurring- perhaps takes a little longer in the sun to heat up. I would not go too dark with the tint but that is my taste.
