pre 4 wheel alignmant
Trying to figure out what to have the restoration shop do when they replace the rear control arm & do a 4 wheel alignment as specified by my insurance company.
The sideswipe did kill the door, rear rim & rear quarter (as if that wasnt enough) but the only other damage was to bend the right rear lower control arm.
Reading the other posts regarding alignment : I saw a kit offered by 928 Motor Sports for the rear. Is it worth it for a driver that is not a track car ?
Plus there are posts that say Roger has Delrin bushings for the rear... not sure if they are the same?
The front rack is ok, but the steering seems a tad loose ... is there a minimal number of items they can replace that will make a difference ?
Did replace the motors mounts last year.
Really leaning towards having them install 4 Boge Reds ... w. t. i. t.

Tom,
Some slop in the rack mount is normal - I highly recommend the delrin bushes upgrade.
The kind of hit you describe can [easily?] impact the B pillar and knock it out of alignment. If this happens it will likely show when they come to do the alignment. You should check to ensure that the normal range of adjustments can be realised. If something is out of whack they may only be able to achieve some kind of alignment "that lies within the allowable range of limits" but not give you the ability to tune your alignment to suit your needs. Try to ensure this does not happen- indeed demand that they demonstrate to you or a consultant motor engineer that this aspect of your car has not been compromised.
For the rear I would focus on getting back to stock with whatever new parts you can weedle out of the insurance. Upgrades might complicate matters and can always be added later.
