Losing George is a shock. He was a great guy and everyone loved him. We'll miss him greatly within the 928 community.
A couple of photos of George and Constantine next to George's 928 S4 and the motor home at one of the Sebring "Shark Shiver" events.
Also, a couple of photos of George's car just the way he liked it...freshly washed and ready to display with the other 928's.

God Bless and Godspeed.
Sincere Condolences to his friends and Family.
Never had the pleasure of meeting George, but just by his taste in "T" Shirts, we would have hit it off just fine.

George was one fun guy to play with and was great at pulling the Florida group of Sharkers together. He and Doreen would always make room for another person at their Motorhome play area and welcome all of us to share in the fun.
His off the cuff commentary will be missed by all of us and we can be sure that "Canned Meat" was heard at the pearly gates when he arrived.
We'll be missing him for a long time...

My condolences to Doreen and family. George was one of those people, that when you met him for the first time, he made you feel like you had been a longtime friend. Just a good, funny, real person.

Very sorry to hear about the passing of another 928 brother. Prayers go out to his family. They'll need it, He won't. He's already driving the most spectacular twisty roads in a perfect 928.

Shocking to hear.. I was looking forward to seeing George again, and had already missed some opportunities to see him. Super nice, with an inspiring sense of humor and a wonderful outlook on life. He and Doreen were always fun hosts.
I also remember his red 928 being one of the smoothest running examples I had ever been in.
Shocking and sad to hear, but George also seemed to always be enjoying and living life to its fullest. I looked but could not find any pictures of him, but thank you to all who posted theirs. My condolences to Doreen and his family.

I moved from FL to Atlanta over two years ago. Thanks to Mel for reaching out to me to let me know. I have nothing but amazing memories of our FL Shark community - great people and like family. George A. was absolutely the "spirit" of our group! When I first met him, all I could think was Randy Quaid (but MUCH smarter and definitely not crazy). Agree, Mel. You met the man, you just loved him. Period. Sitting in the big RV at events...Doreen's famous chili. God, that car was perfect. Found this photo from 48 Hrs of Sebring weekend 2007 - feel lucky to have been in the company of such great people - big George and the power guys, Veninger and Anderson. What a great night at George V's place. Don't ask about all of us trying to talk that gentle giant into NOT driving back to the hotel that night (he didn't, we had his back)! My deepest condolences to Doreen and loved ones.

I first saw (not met) George on hwy 75 south going out of Tampa around 2008. I was driving my 996 turbo in typical felonious fashion when I spotted a red S4 in the distance up ahead. Having a few sharks at home I had to get a look and put the hammer down on the turbo to catch up. There was a fair amount of traffic that afternoon so a bit of urban navigation was required...we've all done it; a delicate balance of aggression, lane changes, speed, patience, and braking to get through interstate traffic without being a complete ***. (Headlight flashing is a last resort)
After a few minutes I noticed that red S4 was keeping nearly the same pace, so it took a while to catch up. We exchanged a few nods, gestures of approval, and a wave goodbye as "BOLUS" went off an exit. "BOLUS? What the hell does that mean?" I said out loud even though I was the only one in my car.
A year later I rolled into to our campsite on turn 7 at the 12 hours of Sebring for a week of fast living, late nights, and racing madness. My other 928 friend had showed up earlier and told me he invited "a new 928 guy" he met that year. As I drove into camp there was this red s4 sitting there...BOLUS! As reported by others here, George made me laugh till my stomach hurt pretty much all week. His wife Doreen was/is a sweetheart and they had the nicest $10 dollar (yes ten) motorhome ever to exist. (A story for another time)
It was a memorable week. I made some new friends, smiled a lot, and learned what BOLUS means. I will miss George.

Here's a hint (ya bastid..), George and Doreen were/are both in the medical field.
I made it to the service, as did a couple of other 928'ers. None of us drove a 928 (which disappointed Doreen), but one of us drove a beautiful 914. The service was very nice. One of George's sister's is a minister (PC USA) and she spoke very well.
