The BEST upgrade is always going to be replacing the 20-30 years old items which were worn out long AGO ! Enjoy the car for what it is try to resist trying to make it something else.
Stock all the way!!...ok maybe a RMB

He is most likely referring to the factory Porsche extension hub. They can be a bit hard to get but make driving more comfortable for taller people that need more knee room.

Bosch ICON's all around - longer than stock in the back. They work great, look good and the rubber seems to stand up to the heat/sun better. I never wear them out from wiping duties - they just disintegrate over time - these slower than others.

There is an old thread on it.

+1 regarding the Bosch ICONs. Big improvement over stock wiper blades.

Colin's vacuum system. Fixed the oil consumption issue with the GTS.

Don't forget "driver" updates. Sign up for some DE's and learn how to really drive the car.

Hi MJ, it is basically a colored extension that bolts to the steering wheels hub, they were a factory option (3"? metal cylinder) moving the Steering wheel out closer to the driver. This allows for a better seating position for taller drivers.

Thanks Dave....I don't think my vertically challenged self has much need for that.

Cool

Like Ken said

Upgrade the nut behind the steering wheel before it gives you problems. Lots of those are in very bad condition - stronger, brighter, cleaner are alway a worthwhile improvement, make sure it's not wound up too tight though.

Sometimes the best bet is to get it out of there before it causes an accident...

I think this is the thread we're talking about.
A lot of good info on the Bosch ICON's here.
