Default Gold found: almost new looking Clutch set for '83/84

On a scale of 1-10 , 10 being new, the flywheel, clutch discs and intermediate plate look to be an 8.5. Intermediate plate, primarily looks amazing. I have an almost new back up, so i dont need this set up.... this once is actually better than my back up INT plate, and it looks great. (It doesnt matter to me because if i do a clutch again, ill I'll pin the H Adjusters, so surface quality is all i care about)
the clutch discs still have the writing showing on the surface, faint, but clearly visible......

anyway, ill post some pics and let me know if anyone is interested in buying the parts or set.

im not sure about the differences of the 82 vs the 84... I was under the impression that after 80, they are all the same til 85.
anyone care to chime in?

How do these clutch plates differ from the 85-86 ones? I know the intermediate plate is the same...

It's sort of confusing that the part is labeled as 83/84, the WSM indicates that the intermediate plate changed for the '84 to accommodate the CPS. So, if its an '84, it'll work with the 85/86, if its an '83, not so much.

The pics show the locating pins at 120 degree angles, so I'm going to assume that its '83. The clutch discs would work for the S3, though...

I dont think there is a CPS on an 84, unless the euro had them because it was LHjet. this is from an 83 euro , which is the old CIS system, so i think its the same intplate as an of the US systems til '85.... then iin 85, didnt the flywheel have a toothed plate pressed on it for the CPS? I know when i convereted my s4 to us the 84 clutch parts, i had to use an 85 flywheel, remove the pressed or riveted toothed ring and replace it with an S4 auto ring..... i cant remember the conversion.. 928 intl was instrumental in helping there in the conversion.

Euro 84 had cps, USA 84 did not, regardless, intermediate plate is interchangeable on that year, thru 86.5.

I think it also works for all but earliest cars.

Mark, you might want to check with KillaV, he was looking for a spare clutch pack.
My spare was a candidate, until I realized how much wear it had, so I couldn't feel comfortable selling it.

I found a buyer for the intermediate plate.... BUT, I also found that I have the pressure plate too. it looks fantastic as well. (as you might have thought based on the lack of wear on any of the components)

so, I still have the pressure plate and flywheel for sale if anyone is interested
