The passenger side mirror on my 86.5 S3 tends to slowly drop straight down vertically. Any ideas on the fix?

Mirror Viagra?

Sorry, the "set-up" just doesn't get any better than that.

Here's an update on the mirrors. There is a big difference, when it comes to the wiring on the mirrors in my 89, as compared to the spare I had for my 87. The 87 had a round connector plug, where the 89 has two separate rectangular plugs mounted to the back of the motor housing, and twice as many wires.

Any way I figured I'd do as Stan suggests and put a drop of DeoxIT on each pin receptacle. Plugged it back together, and it's working in all positions again. DeoxIt really works!

The pair of rectangular molex connectors are for memory mirrors - my last 87 had them too (I had the mirrors apart as both sides weren't working due to previous bodywork and lack of the shop's 928 knowledge).

The extra wires are to give feedback to the controller on position for the memory operation.
