Flag mirrors
If they both have memory yes. You may be able to use none memory with memory but lose the memory function and vice versa.

The motors are independent of the temperature sensor in '89+ cars.
So the '89 should have this sensor already in the mirror body.
Here's the temp sensor mounted in a '91:

The motor went south in my 89, but I've got a spare left over from my 87. I was hoping I could just swap'em out. Never used the memory in ether cars, nobody drives them but me.

I can't actually find a separate part number for just the flag mirror motors, doesn't seem to exist in PET, at least for 928s. The whole motor and mounting frame assembly is 928 624 067 00 for memory mirrors and 944 731 027 01 for non-memory mirrors.

The motors themselves are made by IKU in Holland. Next time I'm at Mark's I'll try to find a non-memory mirror and see whether the part numbers on the motor istelf is different.

"Outside Air Temp Sender" - you must be driving a new 928! … probably got air bags too!

Rob, I thought the memory was in the seat circuit board, like you I couldn't find a different number for the motors in the mirrors. That's why I asked the forum.
Andy, That's good on both counts! Spencer should do well as a Marine, he'll be one for the rest of his life. Semper Fi!

BTW, I've got a lift that you can use if you need too. Lot easier being able to stand up under the car, than laying on your back.
Without the potentiometers you will likely get strange behaviour in a memory equipped car if you ever recall a memory seat position - the mirrors will likely drive all the way to one extreme position in X & Y.
