I bought 2 bags of 8 x "Pleuelmutter" or "con rod nut" from my local Porsche dealer a couple of years ago. Only now I need them I see that one of the bags only has 7 nuts. WTF??? Do these nuts also come as single piece instead of bag of 8?

 

Bummer! They are available singly from 928Intl, just got 4 verbusrip nuts from Mark last month. $2.50 a pop.

I think one of the mutter was offered up for destructive quality control. The bag says "Kontrolierte qualität". Not "Kontrolierte Annzahl"

 

Oops, now nobody ever wants to buy my car because it has one Pleuelmutter missing!

 

What do you need 15 nuts for anyway, there are only 8 rods
