If my records are correct, the Momo M7005 hub is what fit my 79.

As Hacker mentions, you need the 7005. The 0231 is for 74-89 911.

That is what I have on both of mine.
The full number on the box is 12120117005.
The stamp on the base says L7005.

well there is either a problem with the shaft or its the 7005 the only other number listed. like i said over here i cant find a shop that doesnt spec the 0231. 7005 is for 88 onwards. remember this is a euro car.
anyone that side of the pond sporting a euro 928 and 7005 boss ?

2dogsjohn,
Trust what the other guys are telling you. The 7005 is the proper(only) hub for ALL 928s (US or ROW) that do not come equipped with an AIRBAG, period!
FWIW, I have been selling and installing Momo products for the 928 exclusively for almost 20 years.
Cheers,
Dave

I have multiple steering wheels from S4's S3's and OB's, they all fit my 79 and 81 including the 7005 hub.
I highly doubt the Euro's have a different steering shaft.

spoke to someone at MOMO today and guess what number they gave me 0231, when i told him about 7005 he said no way. clearly he's wrong as it doesnt fit ; but does make you wonder, he's going to email the tech drawings over so i can see if the other would fit.
