Gary,

Did you end up having your mechanic do any other test to verify the head gasket issue?

Pictures of your car would have helped this topic immensely. It sounds as though it’s in pretty nice condition.

Good luck and hopefully you are back on the road again soon.

Yep, we had that issue with scots racer. no signs of water anywhere, but a loss of water on the track. the headgasket leak pressurized the system and it went out the overflow tube.
you test this with the head gasket leak tester kit, that measures exhaust gases in the overflow container.
