Gman - I stayed with the stock tensioner. I rebuilt it - it was in bad shape. The tensioner boot was completely ripped apart. I stayed stock to save $$ but also to keep the tensioner warning light. Even with the poor condition of the tensioner, the tension warning light was still working as advertised. Plus syoo8 kept his stock and he was giving me advice. That guy knows what he's talking about.

KC,
I was on the fence about going to the PKT. I was reading the blogs for at least a week before I decided. I'm sure the stock tensioner is more than up to the task. I just like the idea of the self adjusting tensioner rather than the initial annual 2K inspection and then the annual or 15K tension checks. I would like it if they could figure out a way to keep the light with the PKT. I don't think either way is wrong, just hope I am making a good decision....time will tell I guess. Can't wait to get it all back together!!

Scott - You need to come over to KC on a Saturday morning in your 928 and go to a PCA breakfast with me. Would be best to do it on the last Saturday morning of a month to hit the Cars & Coffee at the Kansas City Automotive Museum after the PCA breakfast.
Better yet, time it for that plus when KC Trends is having a Fast Friday the evening before (every other Friday night except during the winter).
Maybe we could get a few other Rennlisters to join in. We already have a policy that anyone arriving at the auto museum in a 996 gets free admission (3 of the museum directors drive 996s). Maybe we can add 928s to that policy.![rockon](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/rockon.gif)
Also, February will be Porsche month at the Kansas City Automotive Museum.![thumbsup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigok.gif)

^I actually have a Missouri dealer license - my dealership is on the Missouri side of the state line. Technically, no, but the police have never made an issue out of it. I do have 2 cars titled/licensed to me personally also, so not running the entire fleet on D-tags.
