Default Clutch discs for 78

Are these the right discs? On Pelican the rear one is much more expensive.

Are the release bearing really NLA?

Thanks,

Christian

The housing for the bearing is NLA. You can buy the bearing itself from 928Rus and do the swap yourself. The circlip is a huge pain in the butt, however it can be done.

When I redid my clutch I had the existing disks resurfaced locally by a reputable clutch shop and they came back like new. The charge was less than $100 for both discs.

resurfaced?? you mean the int plate and the flywheel? I didn't think it was possible to put new material on a clutch plate? like putting new brake pad stuff on a brake pad...... or maybe because its riveted on, you can???
the release bearing is a piece of cake... just need to press out the old bearing and put in the new. brand new and that circlip is wildly important to be new.... ask me how I know..... I did 6 clutch jobs in a week on the same car for thinking it wasn't .... UGGGGG!

as far as the discs... I always thought that the 78s had the same disc front and rear, and if not, they had the same size collar. in the 84 and newer (maybe 83 too) the collar on the discs are differnet sizes (one longer than the other). but maybe on the 78 the collars are the same size but the disc is still different.

One clutch disc is still available OEM and the other only from Porsche so hence the price difference.
928 116 011 35 = $203
928 116 011 36 = $336
My prices.

I have the bearing and center sleeve for the TO bearing for $150.
