It is currently going thru the dmv process to get s clear title,not sure how this would work on the track. I race scca gt1 with a vintage trans am series car,wonder how a car like this would compare? Are these car durable? The 4v motor is said to be in the 650 hr range. Are the brake any good,how about the trans.would this car take track abuse?

Maverick showed up on one of the 928 Facebook groups recently, he had a few people ooing and aahhing about his collection until "somebody" informed the group about him. Especially when he was showing pictures of a red 928 Pickup that he said he was driving. He disappeared quickly and deleted things when I showed him a picture of this truck in our possession.

I Am The Owner Of The DEVORE 928 Racer...
I have NEVER posted or been involved with the Rennlist EVER.
Nevertheless, I've known of ALL the erroneous stories and lore and legend that has surrounded me since a fellow 928'er CLAIMED that I stole his Slant Nose 928 by one day showing up at his house giving him a $5,000 Cashiers Check (a good one) and never came back.
No need to delve down that slippery Porsche Rabbit hole as there are plenty of post here to entertain that controversy.
But today when I got a phone call from a good friend who is a Legendary 928 man and highly respected in these 928 Circles
(that I will not name to protect him from the ensuing drama)
about my DEVORE RACER being talked about being sold.
I decided that the time had finally come for me to take off my muted muzzle and join in to the group and enjoy these boards as many of you do for info and 928 support.
Many of you here know me as Maverick Marsalis.
Some know me by my many alleged different alias names and such as a exaggerated Car thief, Con Man, Criminal, Dilettante, Drug Dealer, Womanizer,

But come on SeanR; you know you never reached out to me on FB to show me that you had acquired the red 928 pick up that you bought from Mark A.
If you had done so I would been delighted that you had picked up the cool 928.

For those of you that have been here a bit you may member a couple of people over the years that posted that I was a "thief and practiced deceitful business practices and you better stay away". I was fortunate that many of you had dealt with me and found these accusations untrue. Remember my H5 headlight issues?
My point is that much of what you may have read about Maverick is hearsay. I have dealt with Maverick for 15 plus years and have had nothing but positive things to say. All I suggest is that you base your options on facts.

having difficulty following all the drama but I have always been intigued by Bob Devore and his car. Would it be possible to share with us more photos of this car. I would love to see what's under the hood as well as shots of the front and rear suspensions.

Yes.
I've always been nice, respectful and cordial to anyone who has ever approached me directly.
(even when I've known that they had talked S#:t behind my back such as yourself)
Like you, I have nothing to "go on" but how you've treated me in person
(or behind my back telling "stories" on the phone to attendees at Porsche Concurs events and such) Bronto.
But I've made a decision a long time ago that I was not going the route of the "Angry Black Man" in a social circle of fellow Porsche enthusiasts.
That's just foolish and would only make me more of an outcast than I already am.
As for why that Unlawful liquidation of some of my personal effects happened 2 years ago?
I don't mind you asking Bronto. (intrusive as it may be)
But I don't think this is the place or the forum to air my legal (soiled) laundry in at this time.
