Not missed the point, but the original basis was still in good conditions to go on with that. I found somewhere a kind of "Web" to swap, but mine was still Godso was the iron spiral. , Anyway, with the right circumferences your a better solution for sure.

My original GTS tubes were thrashed beyond repair. they looked like a bored Lion had played with them. For some reason I saved one set of the ends but not both.

The Good News is that usable sets of ends just got a little more valuable....

That looks so ugly, like two gigantic black slugs lying over top of your engine! Just leave them out
