Called it! Congrats. It's a tenure gift!

In a text between me and the boys, I predicted "high 13's". Not too far off.

I hope it lives up to expectations.

Gorgeous car. I'm jealous...I was encouraging a friend who is possibly in the market to get it, so I could play with it too :-D

What a perfect seque- Just to come clean on all of this, it was actually Anderson who bought the GT, I've just been egging him on for the past week.
I am going to take it over initially and give it the OCD treatment that it needs, but in order to keep my nuts attached to the rest of me, it was important not to buy it. At least not at this point.

The only thing better than spending money on a 928 is spending OPM on a 928.

Rob or Mark? :-),

Congrats on getting Dan's GT! I know it well and Dan is a great guy, it makes me sad to see his 928 sitting like that and that he was selling it. I have no doubt it would fire right up and Dan has been and will be very honest about everything.

Let me know if you need copies of any records we have for it, I have lots of Invoices from 1998 thru 2008.

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave-

Wow, thanks for the offer! Would _love_ to have any and all documentation and receipts that you have, half the fun for me is building the story of a given car. E-mail is roberte01 at sbcglobal.net, or redwards at uci dot edu.

Should I send those to Mark ...you know, to protect the "innocent".

Cheers,

Dave

Hi Dave,
Please feel free to give Rob what ever you can. I really feel like this is his car and if I'm lucky I will get to play with it

Dave, your positive endorsement of Dan, his GT and records only add to its value.
Now I can comfortably say well bought, Mark.
..and well egged, Rob.

A '90 GT w/Black/Linen....hmmmm

Over many many years, Dan and his buddy(drawing a blank on his name) are some of the nicest and honest gentlemen I have ever met (and that says a lot). It was always a pleasure to see their smiling faces again and again at many SITMs and other 928 events.

I will be wearing the "Shark Trip" T-shirt Dan gave me eons ago tomorrow as a tribute to Dan and the successful transfer to the right new owner(s) of such a beautiful 928, who I know will bring it back to it's previous glory.

Cheers,

Dave
