That was one of the reasons I didn't buy an auto. Now the 5 speed will smoke 295's.

Try dropping the hammer on polished concrete like at a service station. The tires will spin all day.

Threads like this really tempt me to go shopping again.

Second only to Cupholder threads.

Here is the best I can do on my stock auto on sport contact tires with outside temps around 75 to 80.

First gear in my car is useless if I want to mash the pedal. Second gear I have to ease into it or I fry the tires...the supercharger helps

That's happened to me twice, first time a bus, second time a Cadillac SUV. Still going with a clean title though.

My 87 is all stock except the x-pipe, original rims and fresh rubber, and it will spin a wheel when giving a good press on gas from stop light.

My 88 doesn't do this unless I hold the brake but it also has limited slip and Panamera 18s... also with fresh rubber

The 87 is spunkier for some reason. I haven't figured it out.

My '89 will.

I have done nothing to adjust things or tune things but it will meet Virginia state emissions. That said it is only one wheel off the line when I roll into first gear coming to a stop. If I leave it in 2nd I only get a chirp. I don't think that the driver side will ever break free, I have never gone that far to test my theory, as I am normally sideways managing through an intersection at that point.

My '88 again non - LSD would do the same, right wheel only and it took some time to get the cables right after an engine refresh.

Doesn't help when 18's weigh about two metric tons each... lololol. But really how much do those weight? Light for 18's? Average? Heavy?
