Default 2590# 928 ready for TWS this weekend

Will be neat to see how the new systems hold up. Did a lot since last track event:
295/255 Hoosier R6's
Solid Heim custom tie rods with bump-steer correcting links
PS cooler with rock-screen
4" brake ducts
Cool carbon's in the rear, bias set to 55/45
Re-sealed intake, oil fill, added another 5/8" breather to catch tank
Put in hotter plugs
Drained tank (mixed gas was going bad...wasn't that old..weird. drained out 7 gallons of pee)
Fresh Mahle filter & 15W50 Racing Amsoil oil (11 quarts)
Coolant flush
Re-alignment (on the rack as we speak)
Changed warning lights for 5000rpm shifting (lots of higher-G lefts on TWS)
Swapped ATE for Motul 660
Rerouted water temp sender
Relocated wideband sensor
New 11lb exhaust system (compliments of Boostlogic); no muffler
Drained oil catch can: 2 tlbl spoons of vapor/condensate from last session at Eagle's Canyon
Resealed valve covers
New OMP steering wheel
changed radiator foam for better sealing at hood (old makeshift foam pictured)
Added GoPro mount: should have some fun videos next week

I've got brakes under control too: pretty fierce on the brakes.

looks great. after doing some testing with the 33bar bias setting, I found that any threashold braking with steering input. (a lot of turns) will toss the rear end sideways and force counter steer which costs time. I would think you might want to bring a 18bar bias valve with you just in case. (or never turn while braking! )
can you get the 275s up front?? also makes a big diff.

thanks for the comments Mark (really). I'm still learning this car. I have an in-car adj. bias, so I can dial in/out as-needed. I have an Oz 18x10 but the 255 or 265 barely fit & still rub...I need to go custom up front :/

I am running your Amsoil Dominator racing oil as you suggested...so far so good. Gotta last me until January when I can do my dry-sump conversion.

What do the 'scramble boost' buttons on the steering wheel do?

with the turbo kit installed, I have the boost controller set to 4psi so I make about 420rwhp for the road course. If I hit either one of those buttons, I have 10 seconds of 8psi programmed that allows me another 110rwhp to get around pesky cars....or when running the Texas Mile...4psi to get through the first 3 gears then you hit the button. After 10 seconds (yes both boost and the time is adjustable), it resets back to your lower boost settings so you can maintain some traction through the twisties.

Looking good Mark. Can't come out today, but hope to see it run soon.

I heard this morning at a PCA gathering that TWS is gone after May 2015, to make way for a subdivision. Really sad to see this piece of racing history disappear. There's talk of a new private track near Brenham, but not sure how definite it is.

New track appears to be a "Go"

Here's me whooping up on yet another 991.
