Default New Charge Tube for El Guapo Zyc Car

All,
Got the Charge Tube fabricated for the Rotrex SC. One piece now with only 3 T-Bar clamps. BOV was moved back a bit more also. Bracket made for under the rear corner of the tube to brace the tube and MAF, no movement. Also a bracket made for the SC Oil Res to keep it from moving.

Originally i was going to either paint or powder coat the tube the same color as the car. Your feedback on whether to keep it polished or color coded would be appreciated.

Afterwards some pics at a friends place and his 2006 Viper.

Wink

How'd I miss that this car was getting F/I?
Or wait was that the one where it was installed but not fully tuned for a bit? Is there a dynosheet now?
Anyway, best gets better.

I'm averse to bling, and that intake is already beautiful, I think a judicious powder coat to kill the glare is great idea.

BTW, are you running audi coolant or pentosin? Looks red for some reason- maybe it's just refraction from the fenders and firewall.

Failed to mention that the final tuning at the Dyno is coming to show the numbers and to include the beautiful sounds this car makes.

That's one for Powder Coating, thx.
It's the red and how the car came to me. Only has maybe 3k miles since I got it.

2 for Powder Coating. Great thought. Powder Coat engine color. Had not thought of doing it the same as the engine.

One more for powder coating.

I think it would look nice done in the same color as the intake/cam covers.

But something contrasting could be nice too.

Tough call. I think I'd go with PC to match the intake though

First thing I thought was anodizing! But, something to match is in order. It is just to pretty under there NOT to match! LOVE my VCB S/C on my GTS by the way!!!

6 for Powder Coating, mostly same color as intake and valve colors. Wonder how tough it's going to be to find a match?

The guy who made this tube is going to price them out for me to pass along to Victor as an upgrade. He needs to make 5 at a time for a better price break.

I also installed an air straightener in the MAF and the gauges from Victor in the ashtray. Pics of the gauges coming along with the Dyno runs with sound clips

I'd go for PC to match intake as well ... and perhaps, as a high light, you could pick out the lettering on the intake in body color.

F/I is really making me want to go to an S4.
But I can't face climbing the get-it-squared-away mountain again. Or abide the price of one that truly is squared way. ;-(

I'm the oddball, I like the chrome contrast just the way it is!
