Would you ever sell/trade your shark?

I have told my wife that I would like to buried in the 79. We even have a place in the backyard picked out. I have bought and sold many 928's in the last ten years and thus far the hobby has been self sustaining. The exception would be the 79. While only 928 money has gone into the car, I don't think the market could bring that money back out.
I have considered selling the 82 Euro S. Not that I have had any offers on it. It is in the garage with a cover on it. I have not touched it yet. Just been stacking up parts for it as the deals come about. In this case, the 5 year plan may need to yield to the 90 day plan.

I sometimes regret selling a special one. For instance, I sold my 06 Mustang to a local kid, and I still wish I had it, especially when I see it (bought a Boxster, which I also love driving). I do not think I would sell Blumax, absent some exigent circumstances. I so thoroughly enjoy driving that car, and hearing it too - the sound it makes is intoxicating to me.

Was offered a straight title for title trade by a collector who happened to be at our little parking lot car show we hold here in Humble at the 24 hour fitness on weekends.
He offered my choice of the following:
1. 1973 Ford mustang Mach 1 hardtop ( needs paint 95 percent restored non matching numbers.
2. 1967 Comet GT convertible good condition
3. 1966 Chevelle 396
I looked at the picks he sent to my phone. Was tempted by the Mach 1 and GT for about 5 minuets. Walked back to my car, then looked at some of the old school american muscle that was around me.... It was like comparing the Wright Brothers to the German Stuka.... the unrefined vs the refined...Ali vs Frazer.
I thanked him and began to point out all the attributes and advanced engineering of the 928 vs the American muscle car...there is "No Substitute"
We took a short drive, with him behind the wheel of my 928 and he was absolutely amazed at the power and grace of it. He made another offer of an additional car and I knew it was time to shut the door by telling him that I could not ever see myself selling or trading her.
I think that any collector who has never really took the time to check out a well sorted original 928 in great condition will come to the same conclusion that this collector did.... I need one of those..

Mine is worth more to me than the market price. 35 years old, sweet and timeless to look at and drive.
When I reach 80 I'll sell my experimental airplane but keep the 928.
-79 5sp, petrol blue, new tires, new clutch master cyl., 74K mi, ready to go.

I haven't owned mine very long. But for 30 years I've wanted that one. That color, that model, that...car. I paid a low price, but probably already have (as many of you do) more than it's worth in the restoration. Well not even a restoration, just bringing it up to where I think a 31 year old car should be...if I had owned it the whole time.
I have plenty of cars here. I don't need it. I want it. In my mind, I wouldn't be stupid and turn down a bag of money for it, but I can't envision me ever not having it now that it's here.

A previous owner of my 79 recently offered me enough money to buy a nice higher mileage GT or low mileage S4.
I still have my 79 if that answers the question

I my '90 S4 for sale? No. It's my daily driver and makes my daily commute more enjoyable if not any quicker. I consider the car an investment in my mental health. As such, I'd turn down nearly any offer for the car (other than one large enough to allow me to buy another 928 with lots of cash left over). What is one without his health?
However, if someone were to make the right cash offer to my wife, the car would be sold in an instant. She thinks there are less expensive ways of ensuring my emotional health. She may be right, but none would be as fun or as legal.
