Default Small acorn fell into intake hole

I was replacing my air filter today and noticed a partial acorn on the intake. When I was trying to remove it fell into a small hole on top of the intake. Do I need to removed the side plate to find this piece? Not sure what to do.
Thanks

Can you find a small squirrel to shove down there?

You really need to clarify where exactly the acorn fell... If all you had off was the air filter it cant really get anywhere that you cant get to it.

There are small holes casted in the middle of the intake in the lower section on both sides of the intake temp sensor. The holes are about the of a pea.

Those holes are to allow water to drain down into the valley under the intake manifold. It's unlikely that acorn fragments will cause any issues there. Only one moving part, and that's the "flappy" actuator that's well above anything sitting in the valley. And if your valley area is typical to many, the acorn fragments are safely encapsulated in oil and coolant residue. I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about it. There's more risk of accidentally dislodging a vacuum hose or throttle cable under there while trying to recover the pieces than there is from anything the debris might get tangled up in.
