Looks like a rust bucket, also, how can it be an 86? Look at engine.
A parts car for sure, great buy if it is cheap enough.
Am I wrong? Don't know the early cars that well, but I do know rust.

it's a twin dizzy euro, but the miles (km's) indicate a very tired engine.

OK, closer look at distributors. So would this have S4 brakes, running gear? VIN shows 1241 which is greater than 1000, but does that apply to Euro cars?
So many variables on pre 87 cars!

All 86 ROW 16v cars have the S4 running gear like the 86.5 32v cars.

I've had 3 people asking me offline about this one. Looks like a hunk of crap to me. It's not close so I can't go check it out but one has to wonder why it's been through two auctions in two years.

You will pay at least $485 in fees to RideSafely....
3. What is the Ridesafely fee?

All items on our site are subject to a RideSafely fee, with the exception of the promotional items that are marked with “Special Promotion - NO FEES” statement. The fee varies depending on the vehicle type, price, location and many other factors. Each vehicle listing has a FEE CALCULATOR next to the bid button. By entering an anticipated price and clicking the FEE CALCULATOR you will be able to verify the exact fees applicable to that particular vehicle. The fee we charge is for acquiring vehicles for our users. This standard fee is in addition to your offer amount and is visible in the `Fee Calculator` and during the bid submission. For example, if you submit a $10,000 offer, and the item is won on your behalf, the invoice total will be $10,000 purchase price + appropriate auction fees + RideSafely fee. Fee policy can be changed without notice.

4. How much does your service cost?

We only charge a $400 or 5% standard fee (whichever is greater) for our services. $85 Documentation fee applies to every vehicle purchase, which covers necessary title transfers and mailing. There are also insurance auction fees which vary with the vehicle purchase price, auction type and location. Each listing has a calculator built in so our users may calculate the insurance auction fees and our standard fees.

Even if you bid $1k with fees it will cost $2k plus shipping or collection.

Currently at $425 plus fees and even then you are up against people who bid direct at the auction like Mark @928Int and Henry at Los Angeles parts.

One good thing is New Braunfels is only 20 miles from our Lake house 8>)

Even if you could bid directly (have to be licensed to do so) you will still have to pay the fees.
So Ridesafely are charging $249 to get you around the License issue - not unreasonable.
