Hello chaps!
No mystery, my old laptop died and by the time i sorted a new one I'd forgotten about forums.
Still got the yellow beastie, although it might be exchanged for a boxster as we're moving to the very north of England and we're not sure how kind the terrain will be to the shark.

Just need to make it more ready for the rough terrain, like this 4x4 shark. This one even comes with a custom audio system, so you could listen to your latest music you are working on. And you don't want no stinkin Boxster, as my wife says, "those are girl cars" !

We're moving to the Pennines, the road leading up to the very rural house is basically one where we'd have to do approx 1-3 mph and weave all over the road to avoid scraping the bottom off!

We think it would be kindest to sell. Options are risk hurting the car, or it becoming a very lovely driveway ornament- which would be awful as it's been our daily driver for over 2 years

My o/h has done quite a good write up of it,

It's a 1989 S4, digital dash. I bought it as a rolling restoration and the mechanical aspect of that has been pretty much sorted (cam belts changed, fuel lines replaced with race spec ones, oil lines replaced, new fuel tank cradle, ABS sensors replaced, distributor, rotor arm, HT leads, gearbox fluid pipe, radiator, MAF recalibrated, ignition switch, tension plate tightened and checked regularly, cambelt tensioner replaced, water pump replaced, start button installed, track rod ends replaced, new exhaust mounting, reconditioned alternator).
MoT runs out in Nov, but I could get a new one put on before I move. Last MoT passed with no advisories.
The bodywork needs tidying. No dents, a couple of tiny bits of corrosion under the paint in a couple of places and areas where the respray isn't at it's best. The rear spoiler needs removing and re-setting.
The interior needs tidying. The leather (very dark blue with red trim) is in good condition and the seats work but I think a previous owner replaced the inside and didn't do a great job, so there are areas that need fixing down. I can supply photos/more detailed explanation.
Most bits work as they should. Sunroof does not (spent a fortune trying to resolve it). Memory buttons for seats do not. Wing mirrors do not (might just be loose behind the glass as they did work when I got it). Air con needs regassing.
And that's about it. Depending on how fussy the potential new owner is, and how good they are at DIY, another £2-£5k would get this in really nice shape. The move was forced upon us and I still cannot make up my mind! I know for sure I am going to need a 4x4 for winter and I am thinking Boxster for fun. They aren't rare like a shark so less worried about one of them on the road.

email me on film@fuelmy928.com if you have any questions. I am currently in south east England.

Wow !!.., Pennines eh, it gets pretty harsh up there, beautiful country though, I think you,d need a Land Rover Defender up there, sounds a bit daunting for a Boxster never mind a 928.., Good luck with the move .

Not sure why a Boxster would be less prone to bottoming. What's your ride height?

Or ... you could install Citroen ***** all round. Then you could just raise the car for the driveway. ;-)
