Lic Plates
Anybody else have a 928 lic plate ? I cant be the only crazy one ? Maybe.
This October my only regret for moving the 928 to Naples Florida will be in when my PA Reg runs out and I loose my plate : 928S4.
Had that plate since Y2K on my Guards Red 88. Then on this car in 09 to now.
But Florida has some nice looking plates that support various programs so something will work out

I'm with Jim C on license plates. I want something long and non-memorable. At SoCal Cars and Coffee events, there were some pretty interesting cars with plates like "1OI101" and other various combinations of these. Hard to pick up and translate to the 911 operator when calling in the complaint about the maniac who just blew your mirrors off in the school zone.
At our new home in Oregon, there's a nice selection of causes to sponsor with plate $. Many different colors to choose from too. The plates I chose have colrs that blend nicely with the car colors. The only 'problem' with the 928 plate is that the letters/numbers are a super-reflective white. Gotta get to work on dulling them down a lot. Might be as easy as a Scotchbrite, then a coat or two of matte clear 'protection' sprayed on, then another scuff. The front plate is at the lower bumper angle so reflects poorly at best. I need to work on the rear some so the surface is in shadow when the license plate lights are their only illumination; might need to adjust the color of those bulbs towards the plate background color too.
I haven't seen any other 928's since we got here, so it may all be for naught anyway. If somebody knows what it is after the heist, I'm a sitting O-duck.
