Yep.

Fuel lines will keep your car from becoming an large BBQ, the thrust bearing will tell you if you need a new motor or destroying your current motor and the TB/WB will keep you from needing a new motor.
Are you going to do your own work ? If not you MUST get a 928 guy to preserve the car. Below is a link regarding end play evaluation. Dwayne, who wrote this has other helpful tutorials for you and/or your mechanic if he is not a 928 guy.

while the possibility exists, the thrust bearing issue is not typically a problem on pre-87 cars.

After you're done with all the maintenance issues...

Install new shocks and springs and then lower the car.

I'd read and follow the advice shared in the "new visitors" thread. Invest in Rennlist membership. Find other local owners to team with on projects and lessons. Stock the garage fridge with Heineken. Learn to use the search function. Keep wife/S.O. involved in the adventure. Get a fire extinguisher for the car. Get a 928 Owner's Club plate frame for your other car too. Join your local PCA region, and go to their events. Have fun!

to OP, when I got mine, I tackled the obvious stuff first, then studied RL for countless hours for more information, and then was afraid to drive it untill I addressed the more important issues stated above.

Get ready to spend at least 5K. then: 1. Flex plate/TT check. 2. Replace ALL Fluid hoses. 3. Timing belt/Water pump if it has not been done in the last 2 years. 4. Motor mounts.
With that low mileage non-use is your enemy. It gives you a sense of false security.

The timing belt service is #1 , fuel lines #2, full service of all fluids #3 . Check crank shaft endplay (thrust bearing wear) . The check of all grounds and 4 new 53 relays will prevent all kinds of electrical gremlins....
Odds are the alignment is wrong (car must not be lifted) and check the birthdates on the tires easily can be expired !!

What history do you have? Check the fuel lines for cracks, esp. the "U" at the firewall. You can do quick check on the Tbelt through the vents in the TB covers. That will at most only tell you if it is tracking properly. If I didn't know the age of it, I would take the covers off and get a close look at the teeth and the condition of the lettering. If it hasn't been driven much recently, it might be relatively new.

I would NOT lower the car; it was designed for a specific RH, so if you do, you will need to keep an eye on treadwear. As it stands I have 5 inches clearance at lowest point of muffler which has a wrinkle now from contact w/speedbumps and I frequently brush the nose on driveways and it is not lowered, and the driver side rubber air guides on front crossmember is broken, same issue. YMMV.
