Help with window seal part number
The window slot seal on the left door on my 83 needs replaced. This is the seal the window glass goes into along the top of the door frame.
I think I have found the correct part number: 92853732303 Found here: http://www.jimellisporscheparts.com/...category=20116
Looking for verification, and maybe a lower cost alternative. Thanks!

Looks correct I had to buy left and right ones last year. No lower cost alternative that I know of. If you need the outer edge lower seal between the door and window, Roger has some aftermarket ones at a good price.

Thanks for the replies! Looks like its time to suck it up and just pay the $180!
Any BTDT experience replacing this seal? Seems simple enough, just pull it out of the channel and install new one. I don't see any clips holding it in, am I missing anything?

Here's a link to a thread discussing the replacements that Roger at 928'sRus has .... https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...n-testing.html
You'll find his contact details in the thread.

Wish I could tell you. My seals are still in the plastic bag on my "to do" list. I did do a "search" when I first bought them and recall there were some tips. There was this, but the link posted on reply #16 seems to be dead.

I remember how the link went down. It was a website run by a member (Dan the Pod Guy) who passed away about a year ago. His webiste is gone, but I am pretty sure Hilton downloaded and archived all of Dan's how-to writeups. I PM'd Hilton earlier today about getting a link to that write-up. I will post if he PMs me back. I really need to tackle mine as well - been on my to-do list for too long.

It is pretty simple. I just did mine. Just have to remove the little triangle plastic piece at the front exterior of the window with a small Phillips screwdriver. Then pull out and replace the rubber and the triangle if I recall correctly.
Also I found a very nice used set off a salvage yard car. I think I paid $20 for both sides. Lucky I guess, but you never know what you find in those places if you take some time to stop in a take a look.
Hope this helps and good luck.

I had a look through the saved stuff and can't find it in the Interior or Exterior sections.
I've sent a few messages to Dan's family asking for their blessing to post the site up, but have had no response. I've got to be home this weekend, so will see about uploading the whole site somewhere world-accessible.
