The only part we can't find is the 3 way for the digi dash oil pressure sender.

Temp gauge sender connection is different between '87-88 and '89-95. Didn't see that mentioned.
Each harness is matched to the model year and USA/CAN or ROW or derivative - Saudi, Swiss etc. etc.
CIS ROW is pretty complicated so Sean made those harnesses first and we have sold two already - both fitted and working as they should of course. See post #14 & #29 for confirmation.

I buy and sell all the 928 products developed and made by the other key 928 parts suppliers - Paul Champagne, PorKen, Greg Brown, 928 International, ProjectNine & MotorSport SLC to name a few.
We would have been far better placed to sell the harnesses made by Carl at 928 MS instead of reinventing the wheel. But Carl has some "Paranoid" reasoning that we would copy his product if he were to allow us to purchase from him. Well guess what!!!!!! We did what he did and copied Porsche's product - no skin off our nose 8>) Competition is good.

I may be wrong about the old ones being tinned copper but several of these that I've had apart look exactly like that to me and those I've shown the pictures to. It's really prevalent where all the wires group together above the alternator and the main reason I refuse to use that PVC/Plastic tubing on the harness. Water and oil gather there and it has no place to go so it eats everything. It seems worse on the later cars than the early cars. The new harnesses from Porsche are all copper core...from what I've seen so who knows. I've been wrong before and will be again I'm sure.
Carls harness is great stuff and had I not taken this on I would have ordered from him. He's sold a lot of them so far with good results.
Good thought. Will make some inquiries, thanks.
Talked about a bit actually. I've been replacing the 3 pin sensors with the 2 pin. Works fine.
Thanks Carl, after we talked about that a couple years back I hadn't looked in to it any further. Rog informed me a month or so ago that he's been selling them for a bit. I just shook my head as asking him would have solved a bunch of hunting. Always learning.
Play nice Rog. I was really looking forward to having the three of us at Jeffs gig so we could hash this out over some beers and all get along.
Greg reminds us that Carl has been making this harness for a while now. Since we love all our sponsors, supporters and vendors, it's only fair to point this out. But the thread is about Sean and Roger's efforts, so back to that. You only get to pat yourself on the back every so often as a sponsor, so no need for more distraction I guess.

Three Wheelin'
temp sensor
I changed and altered mine after buying porsche plug for the sensor on the intake.
I was able to source a NOS from Greg and I changed the plug and oil sender on the bottom of the motor as well to accommodate the different 2 pronged sender rather than the 3 prong like i had.
I plan on rebuilding my original harness... this thread will come in handy.
Hoping these pics help someone who is changing from new to old harness.
The last picture looks like I am trying to put it in like a 911.. haha Just noticed that.
Thanks,
Bryan

Some of you might be surprised what lurks under those rubber boots on your connectors.
MAF;
ICV;
Injector;
My '86 is undergoing an electrical renovation, one connector at a time.
It would be great to be able to get a whole new harness for the engine and injectors on my '86 without breaking the bank.
ETA: What is that round 3-pin connector in the MAF picture for. It seems to mount to the intake manifold but connects to nothing?

Roger:
Looking at the number of products you have come out with that are copies of our products (and not Porsche products) I'd say we were right to be concerned.
Try to come up with some new items yourself - we all need them. Plenty of items this car needs and I can't develop them all. New replacement parts or solutions for items that are no longer available would be better received than just a cheaper version of something they can already get.

When I look at your products I mostly see copies of what other people produce or have produced in the past - Devek catalog for an example. You develop parts for racing and for those that want to modify there cars - I DO NOT. We barely compete on anything at all and I am not in your section of the market - period.
I sell NEW parts and my competitors are Pelican & Vertex.

. Hence I buy the parts from ALL the 928 parts suppliers apart from ONE and that is you.
Sorry about your thread Sean. We should take this somewhere else, Roger. Probably private.
