I don't know about that Lock / Ladder design inside the posts. How can the lock positions be "micro-adjustable" by moving the ladder in the posts and it still be strong and secure. I avoided any open post 4-post lifts when I was doing my research as I've seen photos where the posts on these have opened up in the middle and dropped the vehicle. The $1,900 price on that one also doesn't inspire much confidence in me either. I'd at least go with a Bendpak as there are many of them installed and I haven't heard of failureson them.

I've put my 1/2 ton truck and my Infiniti QX56 onto my lift at times for oil changes, wheel work, etc and it is rock-solid even with them up as high as they'll go considering my 11'4" ceiling.
It's obviously your call but on something you'll be standing under with a few thousand pounds over your head, it's not where I'd try to save a few dollars during the garage build.
