Mj,
I think you're right.
I haven't been there in a while, and I thought it looked as if it weren't tightened down. I see the misread on my part. A fair sized zip tie worked wonders for me. It's been 'temporizing' for about a year, and still works fine.

MJ, take a look at my posts from a few days ago, just replaced my four guides from Roger, also get the little black rubber female guide in the bottom of the tube, mine were BOTH in 2-3 pieces, this lets the tube flop around, mine is nice and tight now, all parts for both doors were a touch under $100. this includes 2 guides for each door, and the bottom female grommet thingy. clean everything really good, especially the tube, or it'll wad al lthe crap into the new guides. Also check the felt guides inside both doors, each door has two. they hold the window from coming in towards the interior. i replaced the felt on mine, the rubber stops underneath were ok on mine. hope this helps.
Thanks
Mj
