These are attached to the inside of the 91 GT door cards. I have never seen these on a 928 before - not even on my GTS. I assume these are crossovers.

Yes: these are the standard passive front speakers crossovers that came from the factory with the car, inside components as per this picture (I took several years ago):

Now that I think about it, the GTS door cards were replaced during restoration. That explains it.
