Default OB /New Wheels

At long last, new wheels. Now I can see the rotors, so does this mean new drilled rotors and Brembo's?

They look similar to mine. I love them, both on your car and my car. I painted my calipers black, and while they don't have the punch of a big red caliper, they look just fine. In fact, they look great. Panamera take-offs 8 x 18's and 9 x 18's.

They are an Flea Bay find, 2012 Cayman 17"
JP is right, now on the search for rotors.

Interesting note: I was at the vintage races in Sonoma yesterday the PCA had a dedicated parking area where the put me on the end in front. This can't mean that
we are starting to get some respect or am I just imagining things?

Very nice wheels.
Beautiful car too.
It deserves to be in the front row. Nothing less.

you can do what I'm doing and RESTORE your brakes, not replace them

I am by no means an expert, but I have heard that cross drilled are likely to crack. I am not sure if slotted has the same weakness. Can anyone confirm if there is an issue with cracking on either type? I am considering buying a OB and I was also wondering if my '87 944 Turbo brakes would be a direct fit, or if adaptation would be costly/feasible?

slotted rarely crack or have issues, they also have the added perk of being a wear gauge on the rotor's condition.

If you went with 944 brakes get ones that came off of a car with the M030 option as they are the same as the S4.

You can also get brakes from a similar year 911 like the 964 and 993. The front brakes require an adapter and steel ball joints.
The rears just need a spacer and of course the correct rotors, 993's in the front and S4's in the rear.

And a thread if you need more info

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately all I have is the standard Non-MO30 944 turbo brakes. I will read the thread in your link. It's appreciated

I think the front brembos on a 944 turbo are the same as the rear on a 928, but the baby brembos on the back have not ever been put on a 928 to my knowledge.

Good luck with wherever this may take you.
