As it should be, I don't know that we Americans generally have the same appreciation for these vehicles that others do in other parts of the world. There's a reason Porsche never gave us the 5 speed in the early 930 or the 310HP 16v LH motor.

If you're talking about the PCNA Rep, hearing her go through all of the Macan specs in her English accent while circling the car, opening the doors, hood, hatch, etc.,.. I dunno, something hot about having attractive women reel off performance specs.

When I got home I asked my wife (who was not able to join me) to read part of the 928 owner's manual to me, and she' was going to be a good sport about it until I got to the part where I asked, "oh, and can you do it in an English accent? " Yeah, that was game over in a hurry.

You guys ( and Nicole ) are very observant on this, I did not even notice the plates or the gauges. Had I been aware of this, I would have asked. Non federalized cars can be imported on a limited basis for display, this I know.

Just realized this Macan looks like the one we saw at the LA Auto Show back in Nov...must be making the rounds on the west coast....

I was invited to Foreign Cars D'Italia's Macan launch but was out of town.

So glad you got to go and represent!

Thank you Adam B. an Rob F. for representing the 928 community at this event!

Beautiful 85S and the host obviously seemed to understand its significance to place it in the ad hoc Porsche lineup.

Seemed like a great event although one would think PCNA would have wanted a more public venue for the unveiling of the Macan.

Cool home too, that front walk seems a bit intimidating to navigate though.

Cheers,

Yep, truly odd to unveil in such a limited venue...but they did have an unveiling event up in Bellingham at the local Porsche dealer up there...and I suspect there will be a local Seattle event at the dealers there too...

I tip my hat to people like this home owner, who are looking into the future, and build homes that we will still admire - not want to tear down - in 50 years.

Not surprisingly, this home does have solar panels and provides radiant heating in the floors.

I was watching all night, but was too afraid to look in the rearview after I pulled away. Why ruin a perfect night?

Just got my invite today to the 2015 Macan launch luncheon. it's at a fancy venue in Downtown OKC. The venue is in section of downtown that historically was the auto dealerships and has been converted to other stuff with the theme Automobile Alley. RSVP required. Wasn't planning to attend though. Too much temptation to trade in my Classic Range Rover.
