Default Mysterious tiny plastic washer from 85 LH or EZF

I currently have the LH and EZF out of my 85 auto. Had a few solder joints I wanted to touch up after chasing some intermittent stalls I had previously determined to be related to some bad solder joints at the connector plug to circuit board joints on the EZF, and while I had them open figured it would be a good time to upgrade to the latest version of porKen's chips.

During reassembly I noticed a tiny washer stuck to the palm of my hand, 3mm OD and 1 mm ID and made if plastic. I looked all over the LH and EZF and couldn't find anywhere I can identify as a source for it. Anyone have a clue where it may have come from?

Can't recall any plastic washers in there.

That came from the LH at the M-249-J69 connection. It's held in by the MP7-11F fritz resistor and should not be run with out it. Only way to reinstall it is to have the room at 47 degrees F, with a wind blowing from the North, North East at 87mph. But you have to have a hair drier blowing on the washer from the opposite direction.

Good luck.

Thanks Sean. So we're getting ready to try to get back in. Got it all set up in the refrigerator at the required 47 degrees. Think I can generate the required 87 mph wind using my air compressor and intake tube as convergent - divergent duct, but Lisa wants to know if she's supposed to leave the diffuser on her blow drier or not.

No diffuser and her hair has to be down, and curly.

So that is the infamous hard to be found plastic Stall Washer! I always wondered what one looked like.

Seriously, Is that not some kind of spacer between the cover and the guts of the computer? Or even a left over piece of a punch through the circuit board for a mounting screw hole that somehow made it through quality control stuck to the back of the circuit board?

I swear I've seen one of those before.....maybe the last time one my cars was having a problem with stalling

For now, I'm assuming it's not a critical part. Was wandering if it could be the remains of a punched hole as well, but couldn't identify a source for that either. Computers are back in and the car's running, so I'll just stash it somewhere in case the source is discovered later on.

Is it white on one side and black on the other?

No it is actually black on both sides. it is just the reflection of the light that makes it look white in that first picture.

Guess I'll stick with the conclusion that is either didn't come from either computer or that is isn't critical, until proven otherwise.
