"Not working" is pretty vague.
No relay, AFAIK. Just a fuse. Check that first.
What happens when you hit the switch? Does the voltmeter twitch at all? If not, start with the switch and then check the wiring.
If it does, pull the cover and see what the motor is doing. If the mechanism is gummed up, it will stall the motor out fairly easily. If the motor is trying to turn, try turning the rubber connector between the motor and transmission. It should move with your fingers.
Narrow down the symptoms a bit and you will get more specific advice.

I had the same problem on my 82. I removed the sunroof switch and used fine grit sandpaper along with the electronic cleaner to clean up the contacts.
Mine were pretty cruddy after 30 years.
I did the same for the window switches and they work better too.
The switches just pop out but be careful of the tiny springs inside the switch, they are tough to find if they fall out on black carpet and probably impossible to replace if you lose one...

Believe it or not, it's available as a Porsche part (it has it's own number and everything). But it's $10. For a teeny tiny spring. I was at the dealer for something else and asked.
So I went to the local hobby shop and scrounged around.
They had one close enough in the "slot car" parts bin. It's either for the brushes on the motor or the pickup shoes (not sure, we looked through a lot).
$2.50 for 4.
The guy at the hobby shop suggested I give the dealer a call back and offer them at $5 each
