Electrical magic Deoxit, yes it`s true, it works !
Well i must confess, I finally spent the cash for a small bottle 25ml of the red Deoxit with the needle applicator.
I had been fighting with my window switches in the Euro for a few weeks and was going to replace them, the sunroof especially wasnt working.
Took the motor apart it looked brand new inside, anyway after spending more time with these switches I figured I would give this stuff a try,
as the next step was a new set of switches.
I took them apart again and cleaned the contacts again and added a very small coat of this red liquid to all of the connector areas, Put them back together add a small amount to the individual female connectors and plugged them back in.
I am sold,
first push the window will slice your arm off it moved so fast....
going to attack the CE panel next even though things seem to be working as they should

Glad it worked for you. I have used it to get a non-op seat switch operational. Just a quick spray. Since then I am using it on any electrical connection that is suspect (many!!!).
Well worth the price.

100% agree Stan ... I've used it for quite a while, and use it as a preventative for oxidation on all connections.
A good example was the 12 pin plug which connects my trailer lights to the plug on my road 4WD. Every time I connected my trailer the lights wouldn't work, and I'd waste a heap of time cleaning pins (and swearing) for a result lucky to last until the next use ... sprayed both plugs with deoxit and instantly worked. Everything else I tried before that was useless.
I bought it off the shelf at an electronics store.

After you get them clean I've found this stuff further improves the contact and helps keep it in contact.

I have a winch on the excursion the ground is run through the chassis to the back, I have back and front receivers so I can move it around, anyway the contact on the back was always giving trouble regardless of how clean I got it, put this in and it's been a none issue for 2 winters, I'll probably take a look this summer.

Yeah its magical stuff, pricey, but worth it. Radio Shack used to carry it, but I went to get some about 6 weeks ago & they've replaced it with their own brand. I passed.

Music stores often carry it for sound panel potentiometers, etc.
I sprayed trailer connectors and literally watched lights go from nil to full bright in seconds.

What's the difference between the stuff in the bottle and the spray stuff? I got a can of the regular spray (not the 'Gold') at Radio Shack this winter. It seems to work very well.
Not cheap at $16 for a small can, but worth it.

I used it on the switches and pots in a 40-yo stereo and the results were great. Just took off the top and soaked the business parts while working the *****/switches. It works like new.
