Default 1986.6 5 speed for sale!!!!

Sean & I bought this silver 86.5 last year. Due to constantly working on our race cars we haven't had the time to solve all the little issues that this 86.5 has until now.

Clear California title, but expired in November 2013. Last passed smog in Feb 2012. 86,500 miles. Body is nice and straight with no bump strips. 5 speed shifts nice and clutch feels good too. Tires are nearly new Continental DWS 225/50-16 all around. Engine was rebuilt about 7k miles ago due to a broken timing belt. Radiator was replaced, and the entire intake was removed and refreshed with all new gaskets-boots etc. Runs just fine, planning on taking her to get registered and smogged very soon.

The bad: The drivers door handle is broken on the inside. The sunroof does not work. HVAC is unknown until I dig deeper into it. Paint is slightly faded in spots. Interior has a couple cracks on the pod-dash. Stereo is missing speakers in doors.

As it sits right now, with no smog and almost year old registration we are looking for $4000 for someone looking for a project. While the timing belt-waterpump are only 7k miles old, it has been 10 years.

The next step if there is no interest is to repair door-sunroof- HVAC-TB/WP-smog & the price will go up accordingly.

We are looking to reduce our "fleet" of 928's to increase funding for our race 928's.....more to come in the future as well

This is a great opportunity for someone outside California, someone not subject to the expired reg and smog costs. For someone in California, it's an almost-great buy, understanding that the back fees will be due when you get to DMV.

Brian-- File the 'planned non-op' on it now and stop the DMV bleeding.

Someone here neeeds this car! Best of the OB body style, Porken S300 candidate with Rob's NIB FPR, S4 brakes and suspension, late-style gearbox and synchro's.

Good idea about no op...gotta do that

The previous owner had YEARS of back fee's on it...cost him $624 to bring it up to date in 2010.....

I wish I was hearing about this just before I bought my 86.5. I would have jumped on it. Hell, I'd jump on it now if I had the space.

Is that Silver w/black interior?

Never understood why someone would go through the work of re-doing an engine / Intake and not clean it up.

**** off. Any body who has any interest is more than welcome to come check it out.

In case your wondering to me check it out means look at it , inside, outside, underneath. and actually drive it. On a race track as hard or as easy as you like.

I hope I have made my self clear other wise please FO.

PM me or call Toll Free if you need an explanation for the acronym.

I am pretty sure he was making a funny at the coinkydink of the mileage and the mid year model match and doubt he was seriously impugning the stated mileage or condition of the car.

Cool car. GLWS.
