I'm looking at maybe doing something in the next 2-3 weeks, if I find the right car. I have 2 in my cross hairs right now, including this one, so I'm glad it's still there :-) I'd like to talk to you about it in detail at some point when you have time. I've pretty much decided on an '85-'86.5 and it has to be a 5-speed, so it's not a big list lol...

Just out of curiosity, why did you decide on an 85-86.5 5-speed?

Well, newer than that is getting out of my price range. The older ones are harder to find in good condition, they're a little down on power unless you find a Euro, and...well, this will be a fun project for me, and fun cars should always have a manual transmission (IMO).

Plus, I like the opportunity of getting good horsepower gains via tuning at some point, which seems to be readily available on these cars.

I wouldn't rule out another year of course, but that just seems like the most desirable within my budget right now.

Jeff was 1st, so 1st dibs goes to him (bureau13).......gonna get the car Saturday and start working on it.

Jeff is on the "right" coast......so getting the car in proper running order is the goal. Might have a road trip across the country in its future!!!!! I think we might have a norcal 928 timing belt party in the near future!
