Cowl induction, so 1960's. What you really need for a super car from the '80's is a hand formed titanium shaker, with a screaming chicken in ghost flames. It would be both tasteful and modern.
I think it's going over to my painter who's much more reasonable. We'll get it painted up to match as well as possible after two years on the road, and fit it to the car. Should be a good price all around for a nice looking formed hood. My painter is slower, but a lot cheaper. He did my last two planes and they look fine, also my 968 so he knows a bit about Porsches.
this was after I paid him $3500.... cant be disputed.... I have the checks he signed, deposited and was paid... he then tried to extort me for several more thousand.... all in all.... 3 increases in the cost it would take the job....
$3500 is very steep, $5500 is insane, (isocyanate paint fumes)
thanks for clarifying.
I know 60s induction was mentioned but it actually looks a lot like a modern Panamera hood now.
I think the Panamera hood is nice looking (to clarify)
glad the hood is back with you, it's your property regardless if you use it.
I will be using it.... it does hae some issues that need to be corrected before paint and getting the engine in the car.
Sterling, does the hood let out engine heat and bring in cold air?
If it serves a function, i like it.
It will look bad-*** from the driver's seat.
Looks like a very nice job on the aluminum work too.

Try $7500.00 hence the reason this is a story.

You must not be too familiar with Sterlings engine. This is going to need the hood to fit everything underneath it.
