Greg:
You should install the Ott x-over and listen to it before removing your rear muffler. You heard mine at the Fresh Water Shark Frenzy. I've still got both mufflers, and it's plenty loud. There's a sound clip on my web page (not the one that launches automatically which is from Risky Business)linked in my signature below if you didn't hear it before. We've got the same engines, so yours should sound the same with the Ott.
In my opinion ......ANZA is a four letter word ...plus it would not fit a two pipe double cat system .....they are mild steel and suffer greatly from corrosion often in a very short time .

Going with a OTT X-Over on my 86.0.
But where can I get a RMB for my car?
Actually the RMB is very simple on the 85-86. Simply drive into your friendly neigborhood Midas dealer and have them cut the rear muffler off and then weld in (preferably mandrel bent) pipes in place of the rear muffler.
As for the OTT X-Over exhaust I would highly reccomend you work with something to take the edge off of the db level because I can assure you that the 85-86 exhaust is much louder than the previous years and S4 or later cars...it will make your hair stand on end ! Louis' 91 GT was a purring cat by comparission to my roaring 85S when we did my car. I believe the jigs are still in his shop from my car, beacue the set-up is a bit different coming off the 85-86 928 stock headers.
When we were all done I was cranking a little more than 104db's in noise which was enough to get me kicked off the track here at PIR.
Well now I'm really glad I responded to this thread. ....Ansa = waste of $'s...... Thanks for the heads up on that one Jim. I'll stick with the Ott and go merrily down the road.
