84 S AT, LeMons racer opportunity
Greetings all...
I'm selling my black/black 84 4speed auto S for $500 on the condition it goes to a LeMons racer. I've owned the car for 15+ years, put 300k+ on it, and it doesn't owe me anything at this point. So I decided to offer it up as a LeMons racer which has a $500 cap on car purchase. Fresh eibach/boges so it's super stiff, otherwise it's stock. The 4 speed tranny has been slipping and will need to be gone through. The paint is rough. It's sitting on phone dials right now but I have the 16" S dish wheels without tires as well.
I've been working at a small Aston Martin shop the last several months and we did some work on Jay's Vanquish (head of LeMons) and he talked us into racing a Jensen Healey. Shop owner has 3 of them and we've started building a racer. Then it occurred to me to offer my black guy for the same purpose to another aspiring racer.
I will probably keep some of the interior bits (stereo, momo wheel, carpets, etc) all of which should get yanked to go racing. I can snap some pics for anyone seriously interested.
Who knows... I may even help wrench on it at the races since our Jensen is going to be perfect in every way.
Edit: add some pics; forgot to mention C&R aluminum rad; A/C components removed.

Sweet idea, Mike. LeMons is a blast. I did it one time at Infineon. Nothing quite like trying to make your way around the track with over 160 other cars seeming like they were all trying to hit you. That's right, over 160 cars on the track in one race. Pure lunacy. I thought I escaped my session unscathed, but there was paint from another car on the fender. Lucky that was all. Inevitably in other sessions, more damage was done.

EXCELLENT car for lemons....my 84 automatic racer still races and its a "bit" of a lemons legend....having a running car is HUGE.....a slipping trans sucks, BUT I know a guy with a complete spare 1984 open diff automatic that is well worn, but doesn't slip....
I'm calling third dips, since I am sure I can talk Sean into splitting it with me (PS Don't tell my wife)...& we can drive it Thunderhill!!!!!
