Default Bridgestone RE-11, 16" Tires in stock at TireRack

FYI,

They have 245/45 and 225/50's in stock. They are only making these in limited runs. Just got a set for $688 shipped.

Excellent! Have about 8,000 miles on these tires. Great choice. I would buy them again, and hope they are around when I need them. They have excellent dry traction and are relatively quiet.

My rears for the SE arrived yesterday - originals were bald with no hope of getting stock replacements. Glad TR came through.

Don't hesitate if you need some rear tires - rears are down to 4 in LA and the only other warehouse left with stock levels is IN. Plenty of choice on the fronts.

Makes me wonder if I should buy another set of rears. Not sure how long they will last with my heavy foot.

Don
Are these the same tires that were on Paco's car when you bought it?

Great tires, but they tend to get pretty "square" if you don't drive on them for a couple of days.

Hopefully, they'll be around for a while. IIRC the impetus for Bridgestone bringing them (245/45) back was that they're the OEM size for the 930 (they didn't do it for us).

By the way, these tires don't come up when you search from them by model and year, probably because they are not Z rated.

Hi Van,

No, those were another model of Bridgestone that are no longer available. The tires on the car when I got it from Paco were totally shot- cracking on the sidewall and had zero traction. They were at least 8 years old from what I remember.

Good to know, because I thought they were awful as well and noisy.

They were for sure. Going to the RE11 transformed the ride, quiet and very smooth with fantastic grip. Now for some Bilsteins!

Yes - they did not come up on the web site, so I phoned. The explanation was indeed that they ere V (front) and W (rear) rated. Have a set on the way.

By the way, you can order them through Costco - that's where I got mine.
